We believe the Bible to be inspired of God, the infallible Word of God.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." (II Timothy 3:16)
The Bible is the only God-given authority which man possesses'
therefore, all doctrine, faith, hope, and all instruction for the church must be based upon, and harmonize with the Bible. It is to be read and studied by all men everywhere, and can only be clearly understood by those who are anointed by the Holy Spirit. (I John 2:27.) "No prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came
not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." II Peter 1:20, 21.
Official Policy Concerning Homosexuality, Gays, Lesbians, bisexuals and Transgenders
According to Genesis 19:5-13 and I Corinthians 6:9-11, we believe that God loves the homosexual as well as the heterosexual, but He hates the sin of all humanity.
The National Pentecostal Power Churches, Inc does not condone, participate in, nor endorse homosexuality in any form or fashion. In addition, we do not condone nor participate in same sex marriages.
We believe that homosexuals, if they are willing and ready to denounce the lifestyle and practice of homosexuality, can be changed and saved, according to Acts 2:4, 2:38, through and by the power and transformation of the Almighty God.
Any person who considers themselves to be homosexual and desires to become a member of the National Pentecostal Power Churches, Inc should be willing and ready to denounce the lifestyle and practice of homosexuality and be in compliance with the Word of God.
We believe in one God, the Almighty creator of Heaven and Earth, who was manifested unto man in his son, Jesus Christ.
We believe in the one ever-living, eternal God: infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purpose; and possessing absolute, indivisible deity. This one true God has revealed Himself as Father; through His son, in redemption; and as the Holy Spirit, by emanation. (I Corinthians 8:6, Ephesians 4:6, II Corinthians 5:19, Joel 2:28)
The scripture does more than attempt to prove the existence of God; it asserts, assumes and declares that the knowledge of God is universal (Romans 1:19, 21, 28, 32: 2:15.) God is invisible, incorporeal, without parts, without body, and therefore free from all limitations. He is Spirit (John 4:24) and "a spirit hath not flesh and bones." (Luke 24:39)
“The first of all the commandments is, Hear, 0 Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord." (Mark 12:29; Deuteronomy 6:4.) "One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Ephesians 4:6)
Before the incarnation, this one true God manifested Himself in divers ways. In the incarnation, He manifests Himself in the Son, who walked among men. As He works in the lives of believers, He manifests Himself as the Holy Spirit.
THE SON OF GOD
The one true God, the Jehovah of the Old Testament, took upon Himself the form of a man, and as the Son of man, was born of the virgin Mary. As Paul says, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (I Timothy 3:16)
"He came unto his own, and his own received him not." (John 1:11) This one true God was manifest in the flesh, that is, in His Son Jesus Christ. "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself not imputing their trespasses unto them." (II Corinthians 5:19)
We believe that, "in him (Jesus) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." (Colossians 2:9.) "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell." (Colossians 1:19) Therefore, Jesus in His humanity was man; in His deity was and is God. His flesh was the lamb, or the sacrifice of God. He is the only mediator between God and man. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (I Timothy 2:5)
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is dependent upon obedience to the truth as it is contained in the Apostles doctrine.
BAPTISM
We believe in a two-fold baptism of water and spirit, and that a person is not born of God until he or she has repented and been baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, filled with the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance. (Luke 24:47, Acts 2:38, Acts 8:12-17, Acts 10:34-48, Acts 19:16, St. John 3:1-5)
LORD'S SUPPER
In as much as Melchizedek, the priest of the most-high God, gave the first communion to Abraham, unleavened bread and wine (Genesis 14:18) Christ being a high priest after the order of Melchizedek, evidently administered the same. (Matthew 26:26-28)
DIVINE HEALING
We know that the Lord alone is the healer of his people. (Exodus 15:26, Psalms 103:2-3, James 5:14) The Lord made our bodies. Should it be a thing incredible for him to heal us? "He was wounded for our transgressions, he bruised for our iniquity, the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:3)
THE COMING OF THE LORD
The coming of the Lord again is an undisputed fact, and one that has been stated by Jesus himself, also by angels. The Apostles declared that they were looking for the appearance of the Lord. (Acts 1:11, Philippians 3:20-21, I Thessalonians 4:14, Titus 2:13-14, I Corinthians 1:7)
HOW MEMBERSHIP IS OBTAINED
Since Christ is the head of the church, as many as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (Galatians 3:27, Acts 2:38, St. John 3:5, Luke 10:20, I Corinthians 12:13) The Lord has written the name, and the Lord keeps the record. "Nevertheless, the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal the Lord knoweth them that are his." (II Timothy 2:19)
HOW NAMES ARE BLOTTED OUT
The Lord blots out names. Thus said the Lord, "Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book." (Exodus 32:33) He that overcometh, I will not blot out his name out of the book of life."
(Revelation 3:5)
ILL TREATMENT
In times of persecution or ill treatment, we should in no wise avenge ourselves, but rather give place to wrath, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord." (Romans 12:19, Deuteronomy 32.:35)
We believe in law and order, and that we should obey the laws of the land, and that every soul should be subject to the higher power. (Romans 13:1) We should not, according to the word of God, take part in rioting, or have any connection with any organization or body, where there is a fellowship of unbelievers, banded with an oath. (James 5:12, I Peter3:4)
